"Casabanca" stands out among my favourite Hollywood classics. Who can resist the smoking hot love triangle of Ilsa (Ingrid Bergman), Rick (Humphrey Bogart), and Victor (Paul Heinreid) or ignore the classic stereotypes (crafty Arabs, corrupt policemen, menacing Nazis, a Black jazz pianist, ad infinitum). It's all there: ultra-patriotic cliches set against a colonialist backdrop and...drum roll...World War II.
By today's woke standards, the movie is dripping with political incorrectness; yet, it's practically impossible to find anyone who doesn't love it. Casablanca, intended as wartime propaganda featuring a director and cast that worked feverishly and practically without a script, is considered by many critics as the finest movie ever produced anywhere. No special effects. Filmed in glorious black and white (like our values), low budget. The actors carried the day.

Fast forward to 2024
“Sex and Islam” is seldom uttered in the same breath as, say, “Sex and the French."
At the time of filming in 1942, the Moroccan enclave of Casablanca was still part of France's North African colonial empire, but the movie isn't about Arabs or Muslims. That kind of love triangle just wouldn't work in a society wherein dudes like Rick might have four legal wives and umpteen sex slaves. Instead, it's about a white European-American love triangle whose enemy, like the Muslim Brotherhood, Hezbollah, Hamas, Boko Haram, ISIS, and numerous other contemporary Islamist groups, wants to kill all Jews in the world.
These same Islamists lament the fact that the Nazis didn't succeed in completing their mission, that Ilsa and her husband escaped on the flight to Portugal to work against and eventually vanquish their oppressors, eventually leading to the creation of the State of Israel. The Western world has Ilsa and Rick to thank for saving Western civilization, but ask any pro-Palestine demonstrator on any American campus who Ilsa and Rick were and you're going to draw a blank stare.
Ask any Western young person how they envision their future and you're going to draw another blank. They've spent so much time studying activist subjects - between courses on corporate newspeak - on university campuses, they are blind to the notion that wokery's unholy alliance with radical Islam is exactly what novelist Ayn Rand was talking about when she observed:
I guess they didn't study contemporary American literature, particularly Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead.
Western academics and their disciples have rejected the value system that drew millions of young people of the 1940s to arms. Instead, they choose outdated and failed ideology as did Germans of their grandparents' era, once again commiting themselves to the destruction of the Jewish people. Humans will willingly give up food, drink, even the air they breath, if promised a better world, but there's one thing they refuse to give up: their hatred of Jews.
Why is it always the Jews?
How come it's always the Jews we love to hate? I mean, if you visit any of the campuses where thousands of overly entitled but unwashed pro-Palestine and anti-Israel protestors are camped out, you'll find plenty of buildings donated by benefactors of Jewish extraction. Many of those benefactors are threatening to cut off their donations to Harvard, Columbia, Stanford, and other embattled institutions. Some have already closed their wallets. It's whispered that a few may even vote Trump in the upcoming election.
The explanation is simpler than one might expect.
Woke is all about championing the underdog against, well, against mainly white men. It matters not that the underdog is the worst kind of misogynist arsehole, an unredeemable bully, or perhaps the devil incarnate. Heck, even Satan was once a beautiful angel and, given a proper Marxist-Leninist reworking of the creation myth, he might yet be recruited to our cause. Isn't this what intersectionalism is all about? If we can rewrite history, then why not rewrite the Bible. Better yet, let's rewrite the Quran, then have some peace in the world for a change.
So yeah, the interests of minorities must be championed against those of the majority in society. Except when the minority is comprised of Jews, of course. That's because Jews don't conform to wokery's definition of a minority which needs to be poor, ignorant, dark skinned, and a perceived victim of Western imperialism, especially those whose ancestors were enslaved by white men, although, having enslaved millions over the centuries, Muslims get a pass. On the contrary, the Jews are a minority that isn't poor, isn't ignorant, and never held slaves (at least not after the First Century). Although an insignificant number in terms of world populations, Jews have won a disproportionate number of Nobel, Pulitzer, and other prestigious awards in the arts and sciences and contributed more than their share to Westarn civilization. They don't fit the stereotype.
Jews are, to an enormous extent, responsible for the success of Western democratic institutions and the social benefits enjoyed by citizens of the modern nation state.
That's what the fictional Rick, Elsa, and Victor were fighting to preserve.
Dream of the believer
Jihad isn't for everyone.
It's mainly for those committed to destruction of the nation state and the establishment of a world-wide caliphate, much like the Thousand Year Reich that Adolph Hitler envisioned, only with prayer rugs this time. The means to that end, however, haven't changed since Ilsa and Victor caught the last flight out of Casablanca, Rich and Captain Renault walked off to join a Free French garrison, and Hitler blew his own brains out in a besieged bunker in Berlin. Nonetheless, I don't recall any reports of the SS herding people into cages and dosing them with gasoline. Compared the cruel brutality of ISIS, the ovens of Auschwitz seem positively humane.
The jihadi's programme is more circumspect, though not very imaginative. First, they will murder all the Jews in the world, then everyone else who refuses to submit to Sharia. It's a rather simple equation. So, how come Western political leaders don't get it?
Ilsa and Rick and Victor would never have dreamt of becoming suicide bombers, not even to deter the Nazis from annihilating six million Jews and millions of others in the gas chambers and ovens of Nazi extermination centres throughout Germany and Eastern Europe. Yet, that's the dream of millions of contemporary young Muslims. Somehow, perpetrating terrorist acts against innocent and mostly apolitical civilians is supposed to dispose their victims to supporting the murder of all Jews in the world.

One might surmise that an IQ of less than 50 is required to take the Islamist message seriously, especially the rather dubious proposition of 72 virgins in exchange for blowing oneself into millions of unrecognizable particles of unidentifiable protoplasm. Who in their right mind would sacrifice their young life for an absurd promise dangled like a carrot before the nose of a jackass?
Whether it's one Jew that is killed, or 1,200 as happened on October 7, 2023, or 3,200 innocent Americans a-la-911, the promised eternal orgy is irresistible, leading to the conclusion that oversexed and undereducated young males make perfect disciples for the power hungry leaders of a death cult frozen in the 7th century.

But it gets even better (or worse). The enticing prospect of having sexual intercourse 100 times every morning, at least according to the Muslim holy books, is irresistible.
“It was narrated by Abu Nu’aym in Sifatul-Jannah (the description of Paradise), and by Adh-Dhiyaa’ in Sifatul-Jannah as well, from At-Tabaraani with a chain of narrators from Husayn ibn ‘Ali al-Ju’fi, from Zaa'idah, from Hishaam ibn Hassaan, from Muhammed ibn Seereen, from Abu Hurayrah that he said, ‘The Messenger of Allah was asked, ‘Will we have sexual intercourse with our wives in Jannat (Paradise)..?’

What would Rick and Ilsa have done?
In the movie Casablanca, the bone of contention is a pair or "letters of transit" that supposedly allow their bearers to board a flight to Lisbon and freedom. Rick safeguards the letters for himself and Sam, his friend and piano player, as a kind of insurance, in case they someday need to make a quick stage left
Let's suppose that, according to a rewriting of the narrative, there were actually three letters of transit or even four. Rick, Ilsa, her husband Victor, along with Sam the piano man, all escape to Portugal on the outgoing flight, to live happily ever after in a nice beachfront villa near Tavira. The MFM threesome experience what is every pious Muslim male's dream, with Sam playing "As Time Goes By" in the background. Sam marries a flamenco dancer and lives long enough to hook up with hundreds of Black and brown migrant women arriving by the boatloads on local beaches. Best of all, nobody needs to blow themself up!
Unlike Muslim women for whom Islam in general, and martyrdom in particular, are a zero-sum game, Ilsa enjoys unlimited, mindblowing sex with at least two men with whom she is profoundly in love. It doesn't get any better than that. I mean, making love to the young Ingrid Bergman isn't such a bad proposition, even if it's only once a day ("...a man will have sexual intercourse with 100 virgins in one morning’”). The script might even be updated to reflect woke values. Rick and Victor discover their repressed homosexuality and the joys of anal (highly overrated in my view) while Ilsa hooks up with the Black pianist while taking on a lesbian lover. The possible permutations are endless.
Now doesn't that sound more enticing, not to mention more achievable, than martyrdom a-la-Jami at-Tirmidhi 1663, Book 22, Hadith 46 ?
