One year ago, Ex-President Obama handed over a sophisticated surveillance state, the world’s largest nuclear arsenal, and history’s most horrific war machine to a madman.
That’s right. We’re talking foul-mouthed, crotch-groping Donald Trump, thrice married to a porn-star and sire of the despicable 'Prince Eric.' That's right, the darling of America's 'End Days' Evangelicals who publicly mocks the handicapped while applauding white supremecists and labelling the free press the 'Enemy of the People."
Trump is a populist president. The sad reality is that he was elected by the people (well, it’s called the American Democracy), and plays to people, albeit to their lowest impulses, fears and hatreds. He is also a self-proclaimed 'nationalist', a label associated with some of the worst crimes of the past century. Adolph Hitler was a populist and a nationalist; so were Benito Mussolini and Mao Tse Tung. There are many historical examples of the subsequent damage done to civilization whenever power is handed over to such individuals.
If one puts two and two together, he/she usually comes up with four; three plus three make six, and so on. Most folks can follow these simple formulae. But substitute x or y for an integer and most citizens are soon lost. The tendency is to trust that whatever the country's leadership says is behind the x or the y is a fact, not a fabrication or, heaven forbid, an outright lie. The government, in its turn, tells us that their formulae are so esoteric and complicated that only persons in the know – those in league with the CIA and FBI and NSA – can understand them. This includes President Trump who is all-knowing and all-seeing, a kind of god.
America's is a culture steeped in what Jared Rodriguez has termed 'malicious ignorance', that is, a stubborn unwillingness to examine known facts or to give justice to the complexity of an idea and its potential consequences. Fully half the eligible voters in the country favour misinformation or outright lies that reinforce preconceived notions. They want cheap and dirty answers without having to confront any serious questions. Hence, the Trump phenomenon.
That brings us to Adolph Hitler. 2018 marked the eighty-fifty anniversary of the infamous Reichstag Fire that damaged parts of the German parliament building in Berlin and set the stage for the sweeping away of all civil rights in Germany in the interest of a police state with Hitler as its supreme dictator. The incident was a hoax perpetrated on the people by Nazi party aparatchiks, while the charge of arson was laid at the feet of the communists and a scapegoat Dutchman who lost his head (literally). The world then launched itself into the most horrendous conflagration in human history.
On October 24, 2018, the Trump administration announced that a number of ‘suspicious devices’ had been delivered to various high profile political figures. Will this be their version of the Reichstag Fire?
· Barak Obama, Trump’s predecessor in the White House
· George Soros, billionaire investor and not a Trump supporter
· Hilary Clinton, former Secretary of State and Trump's contender for the presidency
· Maxine Waters, California Democratic Representative
· Debbie Wasserman Schultz, Florida Democratic Representative
· John Brennan, former CIA Director under Barak Obama (mailed to CNN New York)
· Eric Holder, former Attorney General under Barak Obama
Trump has long assailed the targets of the suspicious device packages, so let's examine the hit list.
Everyone knows Barak Obama and why Donald Trump hates him. He regularly denounces and excoriates Obama’s presidency and was a leading proponent of the falsehood that the nation’s first Black president was not born in the United States.
George Soros is a multi-billionaire and a self-made man. Unlike Donald Trump, who inherited his millions and whose current business empire was largely created and sustained by his clever and hard-working ex-wife Ivana while Donald himself is known for his bankruptcies and an annoying habit of cheating suppliers and contractors. Soros is entirely responsible for his own success. Soros has suggested in his writings that the contemporary domination of world politics and world trade by the United States is a reflexive phenomenon, insofar as the success of military and financial coercion feeds back to encourage increasingly intense applications of the same policies to the point where they will eventually become unsustainable. This message is incompatible with anything and everything that Donald Trump stands for. It also neatly explains why National Socialism (Nazism) failed in Germany. Yet, malicious ignorance refuses to acknowledge that history is poised to repeat itself.
Soros has come out against racism, anti-democratic policies, and the new tribalism that is reshaping America. Regarding the American economy and current political gridlock, Soros commented, "Today, China has not only a more vigorous economy, but actually a better functioning government than the United States." Soros’ political perceptions and economic theory may be spot on, but they aren’t politically correct.
During his election campaign, Trump urged his supporters to “lock up” Hilary Clinton. Enough said about that.
Maxine Waters is known for asserting that the CIA is largely responsible for the crack cocaine epidemic in the country and that government agencies have been involved in drug trafficking. She has been connected with Nation of Islam leader Louis Farrakhan. Waters called Trump "a bully, an egotistical maniac, a liar and someone who did not need to be President,” as well as "the most deplorable person I've ever met in my life." Trump, in turn, has labelled Waters a 'low-IQ individual.'
Debbie Wasserman Schultz is a former Democratic National Convention chairperson known for pointing out that "You have the Republicans who want to literally drag us all the way back to Jim Crow laws and literally—and very transparently—block access to the polls to voters who are more likely to vote for Democratic candidates than Republican candidates."
Eric Holder is the first African-American to hold the office of Attorney General (under Barak Obama). Holder has come out in favour of minority rights and same-sex marriages, against CIA sponsored torture and organized crime. On November 14, 2013, Representative Pete Olson (R-TX), along with 19 Republicans, introduced a resolution proposing Articles of Impeachment against Holder. The Articles cited Holder for his alleged role in Operation Fast and Furious, refusal to defend the Defense of Marriage Act in court (instead, Holder supports both heterosexual and gay marriage), failing to prosecute anyone involved in the IRS targeting of groups based on name and political theme (so-called 'profiling'), and for allegedly perjuring himself by stating that he had no knowledge of any potential prosecution of members of the media for disclosure of classified material.
“For years now, Donald Trump has been calling for the jailing of his critics and has lauded violence against journalists,” said U.S. Representative Bill Pascrell, a New Jersey Democrat. “The danger of right-wing extremism cannot be ignored, and more attention must be paid to it before even worse violence occurs.” This is simply a rephrasing of what the European press warned after the Reichstag Fire and the resultant Enabling Act of 1933 that made Germany a dictatorship. Like Hitler, Trump has publicly declared the free press as an "Enemy of The People," inspiring Emmanuel Goldstein-style hate sessions (George Orwell, 1984).
Obviously, none of the folks on the 2018 suspicious device hit list are Trump supporters, while all have been targets of his angry rhetoric. Some, like Barak Obama, are continually and viciously attacked by a man who carries a chip on his shoulder ever since the former US President 'trumped' him by producing a valid Hawaii-issued birth certificate. Any of those on the list could very easily be turned into another Emmanuel Goldstein in the eyes of the unthinking multitudes who voted Republican in the last presidential election. That’s exactly what happened after the Reichstag fire in 1933. Attacks on political adversaries, castration of the press, the marginalization of whole segments of the population, concentration camps, and the eventual total destruction of what was once an educated and hard-working nation.
Okay. So, who’s really behind this latest terrorism scare, and why should Americans relinquish any more of their rights and freedoms than they already have? Why should they award a maniac and his henchmen any more power than they now wield, which is arguably too much? Unfortunately, although a Florida MAGA enthusiast has been charged with the crime, the American public may never know the actual culprits, just as they will never know who masterminded the 9/11 attacks or who really killed JFK because American politics has always been Shakespearean in nature. A king can be assassinated and the symbols of his reign attacked in front of an audience of millions (television watchers these days), while decades later people will still be wondering who did it. Those who point to the government itself are tarred as conspiracy theorists and crackpots, discredited and hounded out of the public forum.
Just as academics are still arguing over whether the Reichstag fire of 1933 was communist-inspired or a crudely executed inciting incident by the newly elected Nazi party, Americans will just have to take the CIA and FBI at their word. Creating inciting incidents by attacking living symbols of a country’s culture and way of life – that is to say, the persons on the suspicious device hit list and the same individuals that Trump has publicly insulted and vilified – is a time-tested formula for whipping any populace into a war mentality. It won't matter if one agrees or disagrees with the party agenda. To dissent will be deemed disloyal and treasonous to the nation, right or wrong.
America has been continuously at war since the Bush family came to power and George Dubya was a critical target of George Soros’ commentary. ‘Fake News’ is now a household word and the term that the Bush administration coined to dismiss criticism. Trump has accused CNN of ‘fake news’ and now a supposed bomb has been delivered to John Brennan at CNN's NYC headquarters. The possible combinations and permutations are practically endless, but one needs to be maliciously ignorant not to see the writing on the wall. The end goal is to effect the awarding of absolute power to a shameless wannabe dictator, all under a guise of homeland security, manufactured national emergencies, and the war on terrorism. When nothing is heard from the Islamists - no kidnappings, no bomb threats, no shootings, no threatened beheadings - something must be done to keep the threat level elevated and people afraid.
So, who will play the soon-to-be-headless-Dutchman this time around? The Islamists seem to be off the hook this time around while homespun domestic terrorist groups and individuals steal the limelight. That isn't a difficult act to pull off, given that terrorist alerts have become the status quo in America. But if Al Qaeda and ISIS could pull off a stunt like the Twin Towers, then why would these high profile organizations need, or even want, to send pipe bombs to a list of Americans who are mostly opposed to the values that drive the American-led wars in the Middle East and elsewhere? They should be sending chocolates instead.
Turns out that the culprit is a MAGA supporter called Cesar Sayoc, a guy with Trump stickers pasted all over his van.
And surely as the sun shall rise on another day, there will be another inciting incident, and another, until the goal of dismantling democracy is completed in the USA and all other nations are brought under its heel, militarily if not economically. But remember George Soros' reflexive phenomenon? So, who are the next suspicious device targets likely to be? Well, let's take a look who might stand for the Democrats to challenge Trump's re-election in 2020.
First, there's the erstwhile Bernie Sanders. Sanders could have trounced Trump last time around had not Hilary Clinton gleaned away so many votes for simply having been a woman, although her somewhat dubious past and that of her husband didn't seem to discourage voters from offering her even more power as a potential POTUS.
There's former Harvard professor, Wall Street critic, and HRC's competitor Elizabeth Warren, whom Trump disparagingly calls 'Pocohantas'. For those still pining for the first female president, and women make up a majority of the Democratic party, Warren checks a box even Sanders cannot.
Then there's Barak Obama's vice-president Joe Biden. Since Barak cannot run again, former Obama supporters may naturally gravitate toward Biden. There are still people in America who would like to see a revival of universal heath care and other programmes initiated if not brought to fruition by the Obama administration. Back to the future, so to speak.
Charismatic talk show legend Oprah Winfrey, a multi-billionaire, was hailed after a commanding speech at the Golden Globes in January 2018. If Hilary could sway the women's vote, how much more then for Oprah? Tom Hanks has already suggested he could be Oprah's VP.
There is the long-shot, 49-year-old lieutenant governor of California, Gavin Newsom who conjures up images of a youthful President John F. Kennedy. Like Kennedy, Newsom is a lady's man, having survived an affair with the wife of his campaign manager while serving as mayor of San Francisco. Newsom is a gay rights advocate, a proponent of tough gun laws, and has come out in favour of legalizing marijuana. If all those disaffected young Americans got out to vote, Newsom just might pick up the fallen torch from JFK.
The most likely candidate to unseat Trump in 2020 may be Kamala Harris. Google her.
On February 20, 2019, Federal agents arrested Christopher Paul Hasson a 49-year-old Coast Guard officer they allege was planning a mass terror attack targeting Democratic Party officials and media personalities with whom President Trump has been feuding. The plotter had stockpiled a considerable arsenal of arms and ammunition, while draft emails found in his computer suggest a much larger plan to annihilate large portions of the population on a hitherto unheard of scale. Here is the actual hit list:
“JOEY” (who most likely is Joe Scarborough of MSNBC, based on the searches described above); “Chris hayes” (who presumably is Chris Hayes from MSNBC); “Sen blumen jew” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Richard Blumenthal (D-CT)); “pelosi” (who presumably is House Speaker Nancy Pelosi (D-CA)); “sen kaine” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Tim Kaine (D-VA)); “ari melber” (who presumably is Ari Melber from MSNBC); “shumer” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Chuck Schumer (D-NY)); “don lemon” (who presumably is Don Lemon from CNN); “gillibran” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand (D-NY)); “poca warren” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Elizabeth Warren (D-MA) whom Trump calls "Pocahontas"); “cortez” (who presumably is U.S. Representative Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (D-NY)); “booker” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Cory Booker (D-NJ)); “harris” (who presumably is U.S. Senator Kamala Harris (D-CA)); “beto orourke” (who presumably is former U.S. Representative Beto O’Rourke (D-TX)); “maxine waters” (who presumably is U.S. Representative Maxine Waters (D-CA); “sheila jackson” (who presumably is U.S. Representative Sheila Jackson (D-TX)); “iihanomar” (who presumably is U.S. Representative Ilhan Omar (D-MN)); “chris cuomo” (who presumably is Chris Cuomo from CNN); “DSA” (which presumably is the political organization Democratic Socialists of America); “van jones” (who presumably is Van Jones from CNN); and “podesta” (who presumably is former Hillary Clinton campaign chairman John Podesta).
The forgoing is simply a laundry list of Trump's enemies, some of whom were targets of the 2018 suspicious packages incident. No doubt there will be tweets issuing from Trump himself denying any association with the suspicious individual, at the same time advising that there is right and wrong on both sides and thereby encouraging further and more ambitious acts of violence and murder in support of his personal ambitions and goals. The restless spirit of Adolph Hitler and Neo-Nazis everywhere will be rejoicing.
Heaven forbid that anyone, anywhere, should ever receive pipe bombs, be killed or wounded in their places of worship, or appear on a hit list assembled by a member of the US military. But short of burning down the White House as Hitler's Nazis did to the Reichstag, the ruling clique in Washington will need to keep the perceived threat level high if they are to finish the job of dismantling democracy in the USA. If successful, there won't be a 2020 election, just as the Enabling Act of 1933 reduced the German republic itself to ashes.

How the targets of Donald Trump's rhetoric become the targets of bombs:
Meanwhile, a Tweet-obsessed Donald J. Trump has this to say:
Trump has described CNN on Twitter as “so negative,” “disgusting,” “the worst,” “failing,” and “Fake News.” His most notable CNN-targeted tweet in July 2017 depicted him violently smashing a CNN logo attached to the head of Vince McMahon, chairman of WWE. Emboldened by his MAGA base, the US President as now publicly labelled the free press as "The Enemy of The People."
"President Trump's words ring hollow until he reverses his statements that condone acts of violence," the Democratic leadership said of Trump's remarks after the suspicious packages incident. "Time and time again, the President has condoned physical violence and divided Americans with his words and his actions: expressing support for the Congressman who body-slammed a reporter, the neo-Nazis who killed a young woman in Charlottesville, his supporters at rallies who get violent with protestors, dictators around the world who murder their own citizens." Following the long-established wannabe dictator formula, he publicly declares the free press a True Enemy Of The People.
When asked about motive for the threats to public officials and upsurge in mass murders, law enforcement has no answers.
